A Short Drink For A Longer Race
Today is St. Valentines Day, and many of us will be celebrating the day by giving flowers, cards, chocolates, lunches, dinners and other precious gifts to the people who are the love of our life. I truly hope you enjoy the day and all that it brings you and yours as you convey to them how much you love them!
While I hope you and your loved one(s) enjoy all that you wish to experience today, I also hope the other 364 days in the year are just as special. During the rest of the year, I hope (and trust) you’ll deliver daily doses of love, tenderness, recreation, commitment, hard work, dedication, sacrifice, devotion, self-control and other characteristics (along with flowers) that say I love you just as much as today’s experiences say I love you.
I’ll leave you with this thought: Let’s see Valentine’s Day for what it is: a quick hydrating or watering spot in the longer marathon of long-term committed love. Enjoy today’s “segment” of your race, stay hydrated and run your race so that you finish strong!

Great reminder, Ken. Sound words of wisdom for a healthy present and future. Good stuff.
